Abstract

The objective of this research is to analyze the digital narratives in relation to comprehensive reading in the subject Social Studies of the Higher Basic Education of the Manta Fiscal Educational Unit. It was based on a descriptive vision. The Pearson correlation is positive at 0.42 between digital narratives and comprehensive reading, indicating a direct relationship. The use and creation of digital narratives will allow teachers to improve teaching and learning processes, reach students more easily with the content, obtain better academic results and create repositories of the material being used. Students will get great benefits in various aspects such as: greater concentration on any content by contributing to them, participation and interaction when creating and sharing ideas or doubts with their peers, better diction, reading comprehension, better constructive critical analysis and greater degree of meaningful learning with the help of technology.
