ICT-mediated communicative interactions in language and literature classes

Abstract

The objective of this study was to determine the relationship between the communicative interactions mediated by ICT in language and literature classes at the Manta Fiscal Educational Unit, in the city of Manta, province of Manabí, Ecuador. A descriptive correlational type of research was used. The Pearson correlation is positive at 0.117, being low, it is considered that the communicative interaction used has been favorable, however, it is necessary to continue promoting training programs for teachers to consolidate a favorable pedagogy to make ICT a more effective approach to student learning. The preference for the YouTube platform, corresponds to the optics that students employ from a relational - social connotation, more than academically, this involves students identify with the tools that are of greater ease or accessibility.
