Mediation as a strategy for conciliation in University Education Institutions

Abstract

The general objective of the research was to describe mediation as a conciliation strategy in university education institutions. It was developed from the quantitative methodology which produces descriptive data, originating from data collection, supported and managing the collection and analysis of a documentary-bibliographic typology, which allowed the conformation of the argumentative body of work, describing and analyzing the different authors and refereed works related to mediation as a strategy. In addition, the inductive-deductive method was applied, and the analytical-synthetic method was also proposed, by means of which a whole is broken down into parts, extracting qualities, components and relationships. It is concluded that mediation should be part of the universities with the purpose of guaranteeing a harmonious coexistence among its members, besides constituting a tool to face adverse situations that may arise at a given moment and to promote spaces of coexistence and institutional cooperation.
