Overcriminalization of the crime of rape of a minor and reduction of criminality

The general objective of the research was the legal analysis of the overcriminalization of the crime of rape of a minor and the reduction of criminality. The quantitative method was used in this research, which produces descriptive data that originate from data collection. In addition, the inductive-deductive and analytical-synthetic method is applied. 100 citizens of the Judicial District of Cajamarca were selected, considering police officers, prosecutors, judges and lawyers as the unit of analysis, to whom the questionnaire was applied. For the purposes of the study, it was considered pertinent to apply a questionnaire to them. It is concluded that, the level of overcriminalization of the crime of rape of a minor in the Judicial District of Cajamarca, 2023; it was recorded that 86.0% consider that an efficient job is done, then 14.0% evaluate it as regular and none consider that it is deficient.
