Alveolitis. Una complicación en cirugía oral

Objetivo: Recopilar los datos más relevantes relacionados a la osteítis alveolar. Método: Descriptivo documental con revisión de 15 artículos ubicados en base de datos PubMed. Conclusión: Existen hasta 3 tipos de alveolitis los cuales se clasifican según la presencia o ausencia del coágulo protector en el alveolo tras la extracción de una pieza dental siendo esta alveolitis seca primaria cuando no se forma el coágulo, alveolitis seca secundaria cuando el coágulo se pierde y alveolitis húmeda cuando el coágulo se infecta o contamina.
