Language learning for cultural diversity

Abstract

It is offered in this ethnographic study conducted at the Bolivarian University of Venezuela, and entitled "The epistemic vision in the process of mediation and language learning for cultural diversity" constitutes a valuable contribution to the necessary reflection and awareness on the subject of linguistic inequalities Multilingualism appears as a source of wealth in their academic life and, therefore, they are more in favor of widening the range of languages present in university (as evidenced by their greater support for the presence of minority international languages). For these reasons, the analysis of the processes of homogenization, heterogenization and hybridization in the face of the growing presence of English is vital, since the study of the perceptions generated by this process among the members of the university community acquires great relevance at the time of designing linguistic policies.
