Afrohistory: Visibilizing the cultural values of Afro-Colombian peoples in the educational system colombiano

The research approach of this document is aimed at describing afro-history as an initiative to make visible the contributions, struggles and cultural values of Afro-Colombian peoples in the educational system. The methodology was of the documentary type with bibliographic design, while the documents provided were selected following the criteria that they were academic-scientific productions, in electronic format and in Spanish. Finally, it can be concluded that knowing and recognizing the contributions of a people to a nation is vital and fundamental for the promotion of inclusion and integration of a country. Consequently, afro-history is a way of evidencing, through educational entities and different strategies, these contributions and struggles of Afro-Colombian communities throughout history.
