Packet Tracer and Assembly simulators and academic performance in high school technical education students

Abstract

Technical high school education in Colombia is conceived as the possibility of acquiring skills and abilities to open up to the work environment. However, for this, the level of academic performance must be optimal in order to validate the acquired knowledge. Considering this, the article presents a description of packet tracer and assembly simulators assumed as simulated learning strategies that contribute to the academic performance of students in the area of computer science. The methodology used was documentary type with bibliographic design. The documents used were chosen based on the thematic area addressed. It is concluded that the academic performance of technical high school students can be improved if the multiple benefits offered by simulators in training spaces are considered as part of the use of ICT in the current instruction process.
