Vocational Guidance and its relationship with the choice of a professional career in students

The objective of the research was to determine the relationship between vocational guidance and its relationship with the choice of a professional career in high school students at an educational institution in Peru. A type of correlational descriptive research was implemented, relying on a non-experimental design. Spearman's Rho statistic indicates a low or weak positive correlation (Rho = 0.298). The significance is less than 0.05 (0.000 <0.05) so the null hypothesis is rejected and the alternative hypothesis is accepted. Vocational guidance influences the motivational, aptitude and attitudinal aspects of students at the secondary level and is essential for them to develop their self-knowledge process, as well as to lucidly identify their interests, values and vocation, which allows them to be right in making career decisions.
