Disposal and regularization of properties considered as unclaimed property for the benefit of the owners

The general objective of the research was to legally analyze the alienation and regularization of properties considered as unclaimed property for the benefit of the possessors. The quantitative methodology was developed, and the inductive-deductive method was applied, which suggests that in order to find the truth one must look for the facts and not rely on mere speculation. The historical-logical method determines that something must be studied through the time in which it develops, in addition to interpreting the facts, and the analytical-synthetic method was also proposed. The use of these methods made it possible to analyze doctrine, regulations, legal documents, bibliography. It is concluded that it is necessary for the GAD Quevedo to rethink its regulations with respect to unclaimed property, and the purpose they have, since it is not compatible with the legalization of human settlements, understanding that there are specific regulations for the Municipal Governments to face the problem of human settlements.
