Youth work and public policies for access to first jobs

The general objective of this research was to legally analyze youth labor and public policies for access to first employment. It was developed from the quantitative approach, resorting to the documentary-bibliographic typology, which allowed establishing the analysis of the object of study. In this, the researcher understands and in turn covers topics that have been studied by others, which allows and facilitates the analysis of the phenomena. In this order of ideas, this work is oriented in the documentary design, since it allowed the collection of a series of normative documents and laws. In addition, a survey was conducted among 524 young people in the canton of Santo Domingo. It is concluded that, in the canton of Santo Domingo from the surveys conducted, it was determined that there is not a correct application of the Public Policies My First Job and Youth Employment, due to the fact that there is no employment for young people enrolled in the programs.
