The general objective of this research was to legally analyze the socio-political participation of Afro-Ecuadorian women in the community of San Francisco de Caldera, Carchi, Ecuador. This research used the qualitative approach as a methodology, using several bibliographic sources in order to obtain real and updated information to achieve the objective of the legal problem. In this modality, numerical measurements are not used because it focuses on the subjective characteristics of each person, way of thinking or personal experiences, in this case of the inhabitants of the community of San Francisco de Caldera in the province of Carchi, who participated in the interview. A non-probabilistic intentional sampling was applied, selecting 6 key informants. It is concluded that there is a problem that lies in the lack of socio-political participation of Afro-Ecuadorian women in the community of San Francisco de Caldera, province of Carchi.
