Abstract

The present research aimed to analyze the knowledge and practices of health personnel regarding prenatal care. The study used a non-experimental design, as no research variables were deliberately manipulated. That is, the independent variable was not intentionally modified to observe its effects on others. The results indicate partial compliance with protocols, a positive relationship between professional experience and knowledge, and favorable assessments of staff communication and support. The conclusion is that training for health personnel, securing resources, and promoting relevant cultural models are needed to ensure equitable, timely, and quality prenatal care. Staff experience and knowledge are crucial for effective prenatal care. Having resources does not guarantee adherence to protocols, so ongoing supervision and training are also necessary.
