Abstract

The purpose of this study was to analyze the impact of the use of Artificial Intelligence on mathematics learning with a focus on the La Guajira region, highlighting the role of women in the implementation and appropriation of these technologies within a matriarchal context. The methodology focused on an interpretive paradigm, with a qualitative approach and hermeneutic method. The key informants were four Wayuu women. Among the results, categories were identified, such as technological appropriation, mathematics teaching practices, female leadership combined with the matriarchal context, and cultural and educational relevance. Therefore, it was concluded that when Wayuu women have received technological and pedagogical training, they have been able to use AI strategies to promote innovation and autonomous student learning
