Violation of the right to Good Living due to river contamination, Babahoyo, Ecuador

The general objective of the research was to legally analyze the violation of the right to Good Living due to the contamination of the river, Babahoyo, Ecuador. The approach taken by the researchers for the development of the method is based on the quantitative approach, through inquiry, collection and critical analysis of documents and bibliographic references, based on the methodical, rigorous and deep exploration of various documentary sources consisting of articles, theses, rules and laws among others, describing the findings. Documentary review has been used as a technique in the research. It is concluded that there are no public policies established by the Decentralized Autonomous Government with respect to a municipal ordinance to prevent water pollution. There is no social culture in the city of Babahoyo on the part of the citizens to avoid contamination.
