Human rights violations against Venezuelan migrants in times of pandemic in Ecuador

Abstract

 

The general objective of this study was to legally analyze the violation of human rights of Venezuelan migrants in times of pandemic in Ecuador. It was based on a quantitative methodology, which originates descriptive data from data collection. It was supported by documentary-bibliographic research, which allowed obtaining detailed information on the investigated topic. Normative bodies, legal documents, bibliography were used, carrying out the pertinent analysis, which generated contributions for the development of the topic, generating new knowledge. As a result, it was evidenced that the existing norms do not materialize, it is necessary to implement an effective action plan. It is concluded that Ecuador has been one of the countries that has received the most Venezuelan migrants in recent years, and that the resources and capacities foreseen for the management of migratory processes have reached a collapse, which evidences the need to develop new strategies.
