The general objective of the research was to legally analyze gender violence and rights against women, Babahoyo, Ecuador. The approach taken by the researchers for the development of the method was based on the quantitative approach, through inquiry, collection and critical analysis of documents and bibliographic references, based on the methodical, rigorous and in-depth exploration of various documentary sources made up of articles, theses, regulations and laws, among others, describing the findings. Documentary review was used as a technique in the research. It is concluded that violence against women is an important health and human rights issue. Taking the world's female population as a reference, at least one in five women has been physically or sexually abused by a man or several men at some point in her life.
