Violation of teachers' access to retirement benefits in Cantón Santo Domingo, Ecuador

The general objective of the research was to legally analyze the violation of teachers' access to retirement in Cantón Santo Domingo, Ecuador. The research was developed from a qualitative perspective, proceeding with the legal analysis of retirement in the public educational service. Several bibliographic sources were used in order to obtain real and updated information. The interview technique was used with the purpose of obtaining information directed to the teachers of the Educational Unit "Ciudad de Caracas" for being an institution with more than 40 years of trajectory, who are in the process of retirement. It is concluded that the retirement bonuses given to the teachers are considered a deception because they do not meet their expectations, for several years of service they believe that they should have a fixed budget that provides security to teachers.
