The procedural system and its impact on victims of gender-based violence, Portoviejo, Ecuador

The general objective of the research was to legally analyze the procedural system and its incidence on victims of gender violence, Portoviejo-Ecuador. This research used the quantitative method which produces descriptive data, originating from data collection. Supported by the documentary-bibliographic review. Together, the inductive-deductive method was applied. The analytical-synthetic method was also used. It is concluded that the current scientific evidence, as well as the cases in the procedural system, show that the problem of gender violence is far from being eradicated due to several factors that have been detailed and analyzed, as well as the current figures that do not show a reduction but on the contrary show an increase in this type of violence.
