Field trips and teacher training in early childhood education. Experiences from Colombia

The purpose of this research was to analyze field trips and the training of early childhood education teachers through experiences from Colombia. Methodologically, a study was carried out with a qualitative phenomenological approach, highlighting the interaction with five key informants, that is, a teacher with work experience, two in training, a psychologist and a manager, who provided information on field trips and teacher training. The techniques used were interviews and field notes. Both the semi-structured questionnaire and the notebooks were used as instruments. As a result, it was highlighted that field trips have constituted an innovative strategy capable of promoting comprehensive training. Therefore, it was concluded that, by linking theory with practice, teachers can play a fundamental role in early education.
