Women's right to the city from a citizen security approach. A systematic review

The study addresses women's right to the city from a citizen security approach through a systematic review of the literature. The methodology was guided by applying the principles of the PRISMA statement, taking as basis scientific articles published in journals indexed in Google Scholar and ScienceDirect, Scielo and Redalyc between the years 2017 and 2022. Twenty four articles that met the inclusion criteria were selected. The results determined that the countries with the highest volume of studies conducted referring to women's right to the city and citizen security were India, followed by Colombia, where categories of analysis stood out, such as: mobility/gender exclusion, public space, urban planning and migrations, fear/insecurity and public places. As a conclusion, in the planning and construction of cities, the gender factor has not been considered, excluding women.
