Abstract

The objective is to determine the effectiveness of teaching strategies for reading comprehension used by primary school teachers of the Educational Institution 89002 of Chimbote in the remote context 2020-2021. The type of research is descriptive with non-experimental design. It is established that the reading comprehension performance process of the teachers of I.E 89002, is good in that it significantly influences the processes of reading comprehension, with an average according to scale of 15.1. Reading comprehension often requires people to connect and synthesize information across a text (e.g., successfully identify complex topics such as themes and tones) and not simply make a decision based on familiarity (i.e., recognition).
