Abstract

This study identified some reflections on the contributions of the new science to scientific thought in the management area in the framework of transdisciplinarity as an essential element for conducting research with comprehensive nature and social relevance. The reference framework was based on input from Barrera (2004), Morin (2000), Popper (1974), among others. The study was ethnographic. Among the most important findings and due to the complexity and challenges of the organization and the social dynamics that characterize today's society, there are new approaches or paradigms in the management field, which aim to reduce this complexity to improve the functioning of organizations. So, it is relevant to address research in the management area from a holistic approach that integrates economic, political, social, cultural, educational and technological processes to generate scientific knowledge that promotes positive changes in the organization with a view to development and sustainability
