Abstract

The general objective of the research was to identify the current situation of farmers exposed to musculoskeletal injuries in the harvest and transport of the cocoa pod in the Agroartesanal Wiñak association. Descriptive methodology was proposed, from a quantitative approach. A survey was applied, consisting of 8 closed questions and a single selection, which was validated by three experts with knowledge of industrial safety, occupational health and ergonomics. It was applied to the sample made up of 81 active members of said organization. Regarding the results, it is highlighted that the majority expressed ignorance regarding posture, good management and protection of occupational health. It is concluded that it is necessary to deepen the injuries and diseases that farmers contract through the traditional form of work (chacra) and how it damages their health and also promote the required training.
