Abstract

This research addresses a problem that due to the COVID-19 disease changed the modality of all activities that were normally carried out. One of them is in the educational field, which would become virtual. In this new modality, several difficulties arose, one of them is the lack of knowledge about the new technologies on the part of the parents. The methodology was qualitative. It is worth mentioning that parents often have a low level of education, do not have internet service or live in rural areas; making communication between the school and parents difficult. In addition, they do not know how to handle the educational platforms suggested by the educational unit for the development of the classes and therefore they are not able to support their children during the teaching and learning process.
