Reform of the integrated solid waste management ordinance, Babahoyo, Ecuador

The general objective of the research was to legally analyze the reform of the solid waste management ordinance, Babahoyo, Ecuador. The research was developed from the positivist paradigm and from the quantitative perspective, through the search, collection and critical analysis of documents and bibliographic references. The survey was applied to a sample of 97 people, the instrument used was the questionnaire and the selection of individuals was randomly made. It is concluded that, at a national level, the management of solid waste is a problem that, in spite of the decade and more of the Organic Environmental Code and other related regulations designed precisely to prevent garbage from being a source of contamination and waste of materials that can be recycled and thus reduce the final disposal of these.
