Abstract

The general objective of the research was to legally analyze the temporality of protection measures in the context of domestic violence. The research method was based on a qualitative approach, using the collection and analysis of a documentary-bibliographic typology. The research technique applied was the interview; the tool or instrument that supported the enquiry was the interview guide. Three legal professionals were interviewed. An analytical-reflexive process was generated, contributing to the generation of the extension of the state of the art. It was concluded that there were several points of view regarding the need to establish a defined timeframe for protection measures. Some argue that a specific timeframe is essential to avoid indiscriminate use of the measures and to guarantee their effectiveness.
