Abstract

The general objective of this research was to legally analyze the contamination of the Quevedo River due to the operation of washing-lubricating machines that damage natural resources and biodiversity. It was based on the quantitative methodology which produces descriptive data, originating from data collection. In addition, the inductive-deductive method is applied. The analytical-synthetic method was also used, by means of which a whole is broken down into parts, extracting qualities. The technique used was the survey, the population was taken as the inhabitants of the San Camilo sector, a total of 60 people, the sample will be the total population. It is concluded that the contamination of the Quevedo River violates current regulations, since it not only generates a negative environmental impact, but can also affect people's health, for this reason it is considered to propose measures such as implementing waste treatment facilities.
