COVID-19 and the increase of femicides during the year 2020 in Ecuador

The objective is to analyze the COVID-19 and the increase of femicides during the year 2020 in Ecuador. For this purpose, two argumentative axes were used where the first was based on searching for the most relevant information on Femicide, and the second, the cases of Femicide occurred in the year 2020; for which the respective percentages issued by the Attorney General's Office will be indicated. At the same time, several methods were applied, such as exploratory, grammatical and descriptive. The findings obtained showed that femicide is a major problem in society and that during the Covid-19 pandemic it has increased alarmingly. At present, femicide leads to the destruction not only of society but also of a very important component of it, which is the family.
