Principios constitucionales y denuncia por violencia psicológica en las fiscalías de violencia de género

The objective of this study is to analyze the constitutional principles and complaints of psychological violence in the prosecutors' offices of gender violence in the canton of Cuenca, Azuay Province, Ecuador. The population consisted of 364 prosecutorial files corresponding to the complaints filed for the crime of psychological violence in the year 2021. Of the total number of investigations, 98% are in the preliminary investigation stage, and it is precisely these investigations that generate the above-mentioned procedural overload, since, obviously, there are investigations that are still in force and that correspond to previous years and to the current year, whose percentages are similar to those of the year 2021 that have been exposed in this article; this without taking into account the investigations for crimes of a sexual nature that are also known in this office.
