The marriage license in Ecuadorian labor legislation against the principle of equality

The general objective of this study is to legally analyze the marriage license in Ecuadorian labor law against the principle of equality. The methodology used was based on the qualitative approach, in addition, several bibliographic and documentary sources were used in order to obtain real and relevant information and achieve the objective set in relation to the legal problem under study. With the analytical-synthetic method, a privileged knowledge was generated. Bibliographic material was analyzed, specifically, books, magazine articles, regulations, and especially jurisprudence. An interview was applied to an expert in labor matters in the area of the Municipal GAD of Santo Domingo, to find out his point of view in the violation of the principle of equality to the workers of the municipality. Discrimination affects the principle of formal and material equality before the law between public servants, against workers-workers in the public-private sector.
