Dissolution of the National Assembly as an acquittal mechanism in impeachment proceedings

The general objective of the research was to legally analyze the dissolution of the National Assembly as an acquittal mechanism in impeachment proceedings. This research used the quantitative method, which produces descriptive data, originating from data collection. Supported by the documentary-bibliographic review. In addition, the inductive-deductive method was used. The analytical-synthetic method was also used. The technique used to collect information on the problem described was the survey. The conclusion is that there is clearly a legal vacuum, an ace up the sleeve, a lifeline or whatever you prefer to call it, so that the president of the moment can escape prosecution for a punishable act. And this has been possible because our supreme law allows it. It is the first time it has been applied and therefore its process and subsequent effects will have their shortcomings.
