Abstract

The general objective of the research was to carry out a legal analysis of insecurity on urban transport buses in Tulcán, Ecuador. The method used in the research was based on a qualitative approach, with the collection and analysis of a documentary-bibliographic typology. The research technique used was the interview. An analytical-reflexive process was generated. It is concluded that security and respect are fundamental values for a just and peaceful society. The increase in violence and insecurity on buses has generated concern, and is attributed to various factors, such as the presence of street vendors and migrants, as well as the overcrowding that facilitates theft. Local authorities, such as the GAD Municipal and the Cooperativa 11 de abril, are concerned about this situation and recognize the importance of working as a team to tackle the problem
