Abstract

The general objective of the research was to legally analyze the public policy to promote the adequate use of drinking water, Pimampiro, Imbabura, Ecuador. This research used the quantitative method, which produces descriptive data, originating from data collection. Supported by the documentary-bibliographic review. In addition, the inductive-deductive method was applied. The analytical-synthetic method was also used. The technique used is the survey to collect information on the problem described, through the application of a questionnaire to a sample of 150 beneficiaries specifically from the parish of Chuga. It is concluded that public policies are an instrument developed by the Ecuadorian state through the Decentralized Autonomous Governments; they are an instrument for the transformation of society; finally, they consist of raising awareness among the inhabitants of the Chuga parish about the appropriate use of drinking water and its importance
