Vicarious violence in the context of family relationships

The general objective of the research was to legally analyze vicarious violence in the context of family relationships. The methodology used was based on the qualitative approach, handling the collection and analysis from a documentary-bibliographic typology, which allowed to organize an analysis of the object of study. The technique applied was the interview, which was applied to the following key informants: Judge of the Judicial Unit of Violence against Women of Santo Domingo, Psychologist of the Judicial Unit of Violence against Women of Santo Domingo and Social Worker of the Judicial Unit of Violence against Women of Santo Domingo. It is concluded that, in the family environment and the intimacy of the home, these events and conflicts occur, where repetitive acts lead to their normalization, which produces a type of indirect victim with a low level of denunciation or legal action.
