Assumption of risk in civil liability for septoplasty procedures

The purpose of this article is to analyze in what way the assumption of the risk configures an exoneration of civil liability for damages caused in septoplasty procedures; therefore, the work is carried out by means of a descriptive legal research. Taking into account that nasal septum deviation is the most frequent pathology, and can be corrected by means of septoplasty with Cottle's technique; as any procedure presents risks, which, when voluntarily accepted by the patient prior to the septoplasty procedure, would configure the assumption of risk as an exemption of liability.
