Prison crisis in Ecuador

Abstract

The general objective of this research was to legally analyze the prison crisis in Ecuador. The investigative path was followed under the quantitative approach, by means of inquiry, collection and critical analysis through a documentary, bibliographic and statistical typology. Through a bibliographic design of documentary type, which sought reflection and critical analysis, building related methods of discernment of the phenomenon and thus evaluate or consider new contexts. The knowledge and expertise that contributed to the work was obtained from legal documents, norms and agreements, extracting relevant information, the necessary analyses were carried out contributing to the obtaining of information. It is concluded that the importance of psychologists must be taken into account and the lack of concern that each psychologist has to attend at least 201 persons deprived of liberty and for this reason a correct diagnosis is not carried out because a psychologist cannot work efficiently
