Gender-based violence in dating relationships in Ecuador

The objective of this study is to analyze gender violence in dating relationships in the city of Riobamba. It is descriptive in scope and focused on documentary research as indicated. Of these women, 25.5% stated that they had received some type of physical violence from their partner or ex-partner. In conclusion, we can mention that 23.6% have experienced a type of sexual violence. It is important to mention that according to the research carried out, violence continues to be observed in young couples in the city of Riobamba, gender violence can be present in any dating relationship and women should know that they have a law of protection which ensures the fulfillment of their rights to prevent these rights from being violated and they should not continue to remain silent about these types of violence that are increasing and can leave severe consequences.
