Abstract

The general objective of the research was to legally analyze femicide and child abuse in times of Covid-19 in Ecuador. The present work was developed from a quantitative approach using a descriptive methodology with a non-experimental design, supported by documentary-bibliographic analysis. It is based on the methodical, rigorous exploration of documentary material of scientific works. The bibliographic design is based on logical and mental processes. From laws, norms, magazines; scientific and legal works, related to the subject. The method used was the analytical-synthetic method, which allowed for the duration of the research to consider the main particularities in correspondence to the respect for women's rights. It is concluded, that the data known in the research show that the abuse of which both women and minors are victims mainly comes from their own home, since more than 80% of the aggressors are within the family circle.
